CHILDREN ARCHITECTURE CENTRE
As part of the urban development project “Hafencity” in Hamburg we got the opportunity to devise a concept for a Children’s Architecture Centre for the new neighbourhood. “Hochform” contains two exhibitions – one about the history of architecture and one about building and construction – as well as two workshops, a café and a group and teaching room. To get potential investors on board we developed a basic interior and function plan, built representative prototypes of exhibits, designed the corporate identity, created a web presence and designed a brochure and different giveaways. It was a one and a half year project, that included design thinking procedures, workshops with kids of different ages and a seminar given by us at the University of Applied Science in Potsdam. The Centre will be opened presumably in 2019 and will be situated right across the famous “Elbphilharmonie”.
